Pulau Batu Putih

I am appalled and dismayed by the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice on the sovereignty over the Pulau Batu Putih. It was acknowledged and historically proven that Pulau Batu Putih belongs to Johor. Nonetheless, the sovereignty of the island was given to Singapore.
I am saddened by the incapability of the current Malaysian government headed by Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi to justify and asserts our ownership of the island but only to accept it by saying"it was based on hard facts and evidence."

C'mon, Isn't there enough hard facts to show that history and geographically has sketched that the map of the island belongs to Tanah Melayu?

So what if the then 1953 "acting State Secretary of Johor" did not claim the ownership of the Island? What right has he got to give our Malaysian land to others? Isn't the ownership of the State land should fall under the Jurisdiction of the Sultan of Johor? or at least has his written consent to give away our soil to foreigners?

I am annoyed by the words given by the government executives saying that the ruling was a "win-win situation". Enough that we gave a whole island to foreigners called "Singapura" and now we find it a winning situation to give our border which is 65kms away from Singapore? Don't speak to us as if we are imbecile, uneducated and stupid like half a bunch in our current political scene.

Funny enough, our leader just thought... "oh! we should form a technical committee" to study the legal implications of giving away Pulau Batu Putih to Singapore...

Something they should have forethought long before..

As a consequence of losing our land and territory, our local fishermen are no longer free to traverse our own waters.. ironic isn't it? Yesterday is was ours.. come evil and greed while we fast sleep.. and today.. it is no longer our soil.

What next? Obviously, our leadership is weak.. If not checked who is "dozing off", we will always be hectored and step on by Singaporeans. One day we will realise that we should have sent them back to where they belonged.
